A:

Scooters and power chairs are designed for indoor or outdoor use. Small amounts of rain and moisture should not be a problem. Obviously the scooter or power chair is not waterproof so please protect your chair/scooter from the elements whenever possible, wiping moisture off the seat / chair and the control unit at the earliest possible opportunity. Do not drive through large puddles or floods.

Q:

How often should I charge my wheelchair/scooter batteries

A:

If you charge them after every reasonable trip ( not a 5 minute journey) they will always be ready for your next journey, this will also help them suvive the cold winter if the machine is kept outside in a shed or garage.

Q:

I need a light weight scooter so that my wife can put it in her car when we go shopping

A:

Thats fine, but remember 7 amp or 30 amp batteries that are fitted to light weight scooters weigh the same as fitted to any scooter, so you need to check out what machine is suitable for your needs, will take your weight and also need to consider what terrain you will require your scooter to travel over.

How much does it cost to charge the batteries?

A:

The average cost of charging a battery pack on your mobility device will vary depending on your local supplier charges and tarriffs.
